Birthday Card for Liberty Grace Williams

This is the card I made for Liberty's 3rd birthday. She celebrated with two parties, one at home and then one on Sunday, 1/25, at a pizza parlor in Rocklin. We were invited to this party. The pizza parlor has a party room with two Wiis. The kids and adults who played with the Wiis had a great time. Some of us sat and observed and encouraged. :) Liberty's actual birthday was Tuesday, the 27th. Her mom is Michelle who named my blog. The card base is pink. I added a strip of designer paper in a darker pink. The other layers are a dark pink, the same pink as the card base and white. I used Copic markers to color the little princess. I also colored in some of the letters in "Happy Birthday" in two shades of pink and added a small piece of sheer polka dot pink ribbon. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I have 3 more birthday cards and bind-it all projects to post. I will wait until after the birthdays have passed before I post them.

The princess is adorable! I love the way the coloring came out, especially the natural-looking "skin tones". A have a few Copic markers that I found at the swap meet a long time ago. They're so expensive otherwise, but they seem to last forever.

Hi Jalna, yes, the Copics are expensive. At The Paper Garden where I buy most of my stamping stuff, they are $5 and $6 each. I just joined a yahoo group where for $25 a month, you can pick 5 markers each month. That includes shipping so it comes out to $4 something a marker. It's a small stamp company based in Pennsylvania and there's 2 groups, club A can pick their own colors and club B (beginners) will have their 5 colors picked for them. It's set up for 6 months at a time, every 6 months will have to sign up again. So I will be able to build up my collection. I have about 30 now. The ink does last for a long time, they are refillable and the nibs can be changed. I like them a lot better than the SU ones. It will take a long time to get them because they come from Japan. I won't get my first ones until the middle of March.

I think I used this same stamp for one of Melody's birthday cards.
